Unlike the previous one, Love Is Blind's latest edition brought drama from a new city. The show's set relocated to Houston, Texas, and the cast entered their pods in April 2022. The show concluded its filming in the summer of 2022.
Like always, Love Is Blind gave a platform to dozens of singles looking for love. Love Is Blind season 5 featured Johnie Maraist, who tried her luck with multiple men. At the same time, the show also featured cool and positive personalities such as Milton Johnson. Each cast member on the season stood out because of their unique mindsets, characters, and professions. However, only a few of them found the right match, and even fewer will tie the knot by the final episode.
7 Taylor Rue & Jared Pierce (Won't Marry)
One pair has already broken up on the show but could reconcile if they want to is Taylor Rue and Jared Pierce. The 26-year-old teacher and the 32-year-old firefighter were the first season 5 duo to fall in love and get engaged. They even celebrated their Love Is Blind honeymoon in Mexico, which went well until things got awkward. After spending time together, Taylor realized that Jared wasn't talking as much. She asked him for the truth, and he told her that her makeup turned him off. The pair decided to end their relationship.
6 Paige Tillman & Josh Simmons (Won't Marry)
Love Is Blind season 5 also featured some pairs that didn't get screen time. One of those couples is Paige Tillman and Josh Simmons. The 32-year-old stylist and 32-year-old sales representative's story is a real example that love is really blind. The two connected in the pods and became each other's number-one picks. Shortly after, they got engaged and began planning their special day. Despite fast-tracking through their relationship, Paige and Josh seemed like a good match. Sadly, they hit a roadblock and realized they wanted different things. According to People, the two won't tie the knot but still have "nothing but love and respect for each other and always will."
5 Uche Okoroha & Aaliyah Cosby (Likely Won't Marry)
Uche Okoroha and Aaliyah Cosby had a strange relationship. While the two seemed in love, their connection started to tumble due to a lack of faith in each other. In episode 7, the 29-year-old ICU travel nurse and the 34-year-old lawyer had a chat. They discussed their real feelings, and Uche concluded it would be better for them to break up. After the pair split, Aaliyah stated that Uche still holds her heart and she's really into him, implying they could reconcile. However, current circumstances hint the pair won't get married.
4 Chris Fox & Johnie Maraist (Likely Won't Marry)
Chris and Johnie had an odd start to their relationship on Love Is Blind. Initially, the 32-year-old lawyer was unsure about picking between Izzy and Chris. She liked them both but ultimately broke up with the 28-year-old to take a chance on Izzy. Unfortunately, she made a bad move and soon got dumped in the pods. When things didn't turn out well for Johnie, she decided to try her luck with Chris again. He initially declined her offer, but he eventually reconnected with her at the airport, and the two became boyfriend and girlfriend. While the two are in a relationship, their rough start and Johnie's romantic expectations will probably stop them from getting married.
3 Renee Poche & Carter Wall (Will Likely Marry)
Renee Poche and Carter Wall aren't the show's main attraction, but they seem to have connected behind the scenes. The 32-year-old veterinarian and 30-year-old construction worker fell in love in the pods and began a relationship. According to Distractify, they have already traveled to Mexico together and were engaged. Unfortunately, since Love Is Blind season 5 producers decided to edit their parts out, it's hard to know if they made it down the aisle. They seem like a cute couple, and it would be great if they did get married.
2 Lydia Velez Gonzalez & James Milton Johnson (Likely Will Marry)
Love Is Blind season 5's pod phase is over as the season is coming to a close. Unfortunately, only three pairs have solidified their relationships. According to TV Insider, one duo is Lydia Velez Gonzalez and Milton Johnson, who have already celebrated their engagement as of episode 7. The 32-year-old Geologist and the 25-year-old Petroleum engineer never looked like a great match due to differing lifestyles and age differences. However, they proved their critics wrong by getting serious and meeting each other's family. Lydia was previously involved with Uche Okoroha, but they had a major argument in the recent episode. It doesn't seem like anyone in the way of Lydia and Milton anymore.
1 Stacy Snyder & Izzy Zapata (Likely Will Marry)
Stacy Snyder and Izzy Zapata will likely make it down the aisle. Izzy was initially into Johnie and seemed to connect with her. However, he soon realized she was saying one thing to him and another to Chris Fox. After Izzy felt like Johnie played him, he decided to pursue a relationship with Stacy. Luckily, the 31-year-old sales guy's sudden move paid off. Izzy discovered he was completely compatible with the 34-year-old. The pair quickly got serious and took their relationship to another level. Previews of Love Is Blind show Stacy and Izzy will likely tie the knot this season.
Love Is Blind season 5 didn't have as many entanglements as some of the other seasons. Moreover, the previews suggest that the show will only feature two main weddings. The pairs in the previews include Stacy and Izzy and Lydia and Milton. These couples seem destined to be together, and it doesn't seem like there will be a plot twist in the finale. However, marriage doesn't mean it will be the end of the story for these cast members. The success rate of marriages on Love Is Blind is extremely low, as only seven couples out of 23 over the last four seasons have stayed together.
