Vampiric Powers give your character additional skills with various effects in Season 2 of Diablo IV, unlocked when you find special Pact Armor from random drops around Sanctuary. The Blood of Lilith protects you from becoming a fully turned vampire, allowing you to wield supernatural abilities. A rare resource can be collected to upgrade your new powers that draw upon the darkest magics regardless of your character's class.

Those making a strong Necromancer class build in Diablo 4 do not have to worry about Vampiric Powers altering any Blood-related skills. While the Season of Blood content may seem similar, the gear and abilities given are available for every class in the game. No power offered is class-specific, meaning that any character can wield the same universal effects as long as they meet the right requirements.

How to Unlock Vampiric Powers

Diablo 4 Season 2 Vampiric Powers Unlocked on Sanguine Circle from Character Menu

Around 22 Vampiric Powers are available to unlock through the Potent Blood currency introduced in Diablo 4's Season 2 content. You are also able to gain the vampire inspired abilities by meeting Reputation goals during Blood Harvest Events from the Hunter's Acclaim or from quest rewards in the Season of Blood campaign. You may have five Powers equipped at a time through the Sanguine Circle in your character menu.

You can bring up the Season Tab for your Vampiric Powers in the same way you accessed your Malignant Powers in Diablo 4 to see all the available skills you can buy with Potent Blood, along with those you already have active in the Sanguine Circle.

You may notice there are three different symbols called Pacts above the Powers within the Sanguine Circle. In order to use unlocked Vampiric skills, you need to have a number of Pacts from each category depending on the strength of the Power. For example, a Level 1 Power might demand a few Pacts, while a Level 3 ability will demand several Pacts of every type before you can use a Vampiric trait in Diablo 4.

How to Get Vampiric Pacts from Armor

To get the Pacts you need to wield your Vampiric Powers, you need to find Armor pieces like Helmets, Gloves, or Boots from random drops around the map. There are three types of Pacts Ferocity, Divinity, and Eternity all have different values depending on how strong a gear part is when your character finds it. If you are playing on a higher World Tier in Diablo 4, the items you find have a greater max limit of Pacts imbued into them.

The Powers listed in the Sanguine Circle will tell you which Pacts they need before they can be activated. Simply equip the Armor pieces with the right Pacts to your character to meet the prerequisites of various Powers in Diablo 4. As an example, if you want to equip a Level 1 Power that demands 2 Divinity Pacts, you cannot place it into your Sanguine Circle until you are wearing gear that fulfills that condition.

How to Find Potent Blood

Once you have Armor with the right Pacts, you'll need to harvest a lot of Potent Blood currency to gain new Vampiric Powers or upgrade your favorite abilities. Seasonal events called Blood Harvest are where you can find Potent Blood, dropped by Blood Seeker special enemies. These events are marked on your map similarly to how other World Events take place across the map of Sanctuary in Diablo 4.

When you enter a Blood Harvest, you need to find Blood Lures to attract the Seekers toward your character. Doing this will let you fight these powerful vampire monsters in Diablo 4 and kill them for a variety of loot. Armor with Pacts may drop in addition to Seeker Keys and Potent Blood. Keys found here are able to open Seeker Caches that may contain even more Potent Blood than you could obtain from regular drops.

Every Available Vampiric Power Effect

Vampiric Power effects are divided into two categories, Minor and Major, that usually tie into their overall Level for any character to use. Most Minor Powers demand 1–3 Pacts, while Major Powers typically cost far more with 6 Pacts of varying types. Some Powers will require multiple Pacts of the same type, while others may require you to mix and match items with unique combinations in Diablo 4.

A new effect exclusive to Vampiric Powers is the Vampiric Curse, which lets you store up to 8 enemy souls after you kill them. Using a Defensive, Agility, or Macabre skill unleashes stored souls to attack enemies targeted by your character.
