Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated Buffy The Vampire Slayer follow-up, Slayers: A Buffyverse Story. Set a decade after the series finale, the bad guys of the magic world are having a rough time, with new Slayers popping up continuously. Spike, the vampire, is working undercover with his old buddy Clem in the dark, demonic underworld of Los Angeles, where he meets a new rookie Slayer named Indira.

Things are further complicated when Cordelia Chase appears. However, this is not the Cordelia that he remembers. Instead, this version is from an alternate universe where she was the Slayer instead of Buffy. Cordelia sought Spike out in the hopes that he would help her defeat the big bad that threatens her world, his ex, Drusilla. A number of other beloved Buffy The Vampire Slayer characters return, including Giles, Tara, and Anya, but these are not the versions Spike remembers, with their paths different due to the universes they live in.

Screen Rant's exclusive clip from the Audible Original Slayers: A Buffyverse Story features the return of original cast members Emma Caulfield Ford and Juliet Landau. In the clip, Anya is a witch and is attempting to use her magic to protect herself from Drusilla. She confidently informs Drusilla that she won't be invited in, but it seems the vampire has already thought of this, acquiring an invitation inside from the other individual whose name is on the lease. After Drusilla taunts and threatens Anya, she finally asks her burning question: Where is Cordelia Chase?

These versions of Anya and Drusilla are already very different from the ones in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. While Anya was powerful in the television series, she wasn't a witch, pointing to her life taking a very different course. Drusilla is also much more menacing in her mania than in the original series, as she hunts down the Slayer from her world. Even this small clip gives a taste of how the multiverse will play with expectations and introduce intriguing new versions of the characters fans love.
