According to a new report, Daredevil: Born Again is suffering from major production problems, with Marvel Studios reportedly firing all writers and directors attached to the series. The move was made due to Daredevil: Born Again feeling more like "a legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version, known for its action and violence. " Following the reveal of Daredevil: Born Again's reset, a rumor emerged, claiming that Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, important characters from Netflix's Daredevil, would have died. Which Cast Members Are Returning For Daredevil: Born Again

Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll were not coming back as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, respectively, for the original version of Daredevil: Born Again. If their characters' rumored deaths are true, with the report of the MCU show's issues claiming that Marvel wants to "keep scenes and episodes" while adding new content, it is hard to see the studio changing its stance on deaths that would impact the show's plot heavily. While Henson and Woll are out of Daredevil: Born Again's cast, other Netflix actors are in.

Charlie Cox has returned to the MCU as Matt Murdock, first appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home before showing up for two episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law prior to starting filming Daredevil: Born Again. Following him to the show are two other actors from Netflix's Daredevil: Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. While D'Onofrio already returned as Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye, Bernthal will make his first appearance as Frank Castle since The Punisher's cancellation in Daredevil: Born Again.

Jessica Jones actress Krysten Ritter has appeared with Cox and D'Onofrio in fan conventions and shared a photo wearing a Daredevil shirt to work out, which led to some speculation regarding her return in the Marvel series. Bernthal's Punisher returning in the show opens up the path for Netflix heroes such as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to come back, though nothing has emerged regarding their possible returns as of yet. Perhaps Daredevil: Born Again's rework toward making the show more similar to Netflix's Daredevil will bring back other heroes, as well as save Foggy and Karen from their rumored deaths.
