Superman: Legacy's cast will be led by David Corenswet as the Man of Steel and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Superman: Legacy writer/director James Gunn had to refrain from revealing more cast members, though other DC heroes have already been announced for the film.

On Twitter, artist @davi_a86 shared a series of fan posters imagining the cast of Gunn's Superman: Legacy in retro comics cover art.

While Corenswet's Superman has yet to be depicted in the artist's style, Brosnahan's Lois Lane can be seen in full comic book glory.

The Superman: Legacy fan art gives Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner the Green Lantern's classic bowl cut.

Edi Gathegi's Mr. Terrific, Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan's Metamorpho also appear with classic comic book designs.

Why Superman: Legacy's Current Confirmed Cast Is So Exciting

David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in Superman Legacy

Recently, Gunn shared a Superman: Legacy casting update. The DC Universe's creative mastermind was asked by a fan if he had more casting reveals to make as soon as the SAG-AFTRA strike ends, to which Gunn responded positively, saying, "Yeah." Some characters reported to be in Superman: Legacy have yet to be cast, as are the cases of Superman's best friend and his archrival, Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor, respectively.

While more names for the movie should be revealed sooner rather than later, Superman: Legacy's current confirmed cast is already very exciting for the film and the future of the new DC Universe. Gunn has mentioned before that he wants Superman: Legacy to make it so the DCU feels like a lived-in universe from the start, which is why Corenswet's Superman will be meeting other DCU heroes in the film.

All the other DCU heroes aside, Corenswet is the perfect choice to play the classic "Boy Scout" version of Superman from the comics. Corenswet was the top choice for the role in the minds of fans for the past two years, with the actor himself saying in the past that he dreamed of playing a lighter take on Superman than Henry Cavill's in the DCEU. Add in the energetic and talented Brosnahan, who is pitch-perfect for the spitfire Lois Lane, and Superman: Legacy could be one of DC's best films ever.
