Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are having strong emotions about Loki and Sylvie's ending in Loki season 2, episode 2. One of the crucial dynamics in Loki season 1 was his interaction with his variant, Sylvie, which became one of the bigger elements of the show. While they have only been separated for a limited time in the MCU, it has been nearly two years for viewers as they have been waiting to see the characters' reunion in Loki season 2.

Loki season 2, episode 2, "Breaking Brad," officially dropped tonight on Disney+, and saw Loki and Sylvie finally together, as he discovered she was living in 1982 and working at a McDonald's. However, their reunion was emotionally charged, to say the least, as MCU viewers have taken to social media to react to Loki season 2, episode 2.

@variant001_ shared a crying shot of Margot Robbie in Barbie as a reaction to the line, "Please don't...it's harder to stay..."

@sandeep_sanmeyo even captured the scene from Loki season 2, episode 2 where Loki sees Sylvie leave, as he is clearly upset about Sylvie's reaction.

@giselleb1234 reacted to how Loki "tried so hard convincing Sylvie to stay and fight with them but she just wants to live a normal life," as the two characters are on a different path.

@yoitsterrah was hurt as they understood why "Sylvie doesn’t want anything to do with the TVA. They made her life miserable for years. Her attitude towards everything definitely reminds me of younger Loki."

@Tyler_Smith116 was also emotional about the ending to Loki season 2, episode 2, asking the Internet, "How can you not FEEL that. Goodness."

@Justtraceyx talked about what a "sweet relationship" Loki and Sylvie have, as they "love their bond" and how it finished at the end of Loki season 2, episode 2.

@alliesmartino talked about how emotional they got from seeing Sylvie's scenes in Loki season 2 compared to season 1, highlighting the character's growth.

Will Loki Season 2 End With Loki & Sylvie Getting Back Together?

With four episodes left to air, Loki season 2 won't be leaving the audience hanging for too long when it comes to where Loki and Sylvie's relationship goes in the future. The bigger question, however, is whether or not a happy ending is in store for them or if destiny has other plans for them. It wouldn't be shocking if Loki season 2 ends with their relationship left up in the air.

When it comes to happy endings in the MCU, for most characters it's something the movies and TV shows take some time to get to rather than rush it. If Loki season 3 were to happen, it would make sense if their bond becomes a bigger central theme, especially once they have dealt with the latest Kang variant. At the moment, it is hard to imagine that upcoming episodes will have too much time to deal with them outside the main threat.

If they take a bigger step forward, it would likely be within the final episodes that it takes place. But at the same time, there is always the chance that Loki and Sylvie aren't meant to be, as the MCU drama could take a sudden twist at the end. For now, time will tell over the next few weeks if Loki season 2 will be a happy conclusion for Sylvie and Loki or if their paths will separate again.
