Paramount+ has plenty of new TV shows and movies coming in October 2023, including plenty of horror content for what's become known as spooky season. Paramount+ launched in March 2021 as a rebranding of the CBS All Access streaming platform, with the goal of expanding its offerings and reach. Thanks to the re-merger between CBS and Viacom in 2019, Paramount+ also has access to Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and MTV libraries.

Unlike some of its competitors, Paramount+ has not put an emphasis on original movie programming except in the case of children’s films. However, the streaming service does have a popular lineup of exclusive original series, including the multiple-timeline and decade-spanning Yellowstone franchise. Properties are constantly being added to or taken out of the streamer’s library, however, and it's not always easy to keep the collection straight. To help, here is a guide to everything new on Paramount+ in October 2023.

The first of the month is typically when streamers add most of their library content. This means older movies that originally premiered in theaters or on a television network become available to stream, usually for a limited time. October is often a month for many horror additions to streamers as there is an attempt to capitalize on Halloween falling at the end of the month. Paramount+ does add some horror content in October, like An American Haunting and The Grudge, but there’s actually an extensive variety of content as well.

There are blockbusters like Titanic and both the original and remakes of movies like The Italian Job, but a big addition is the first four Indiana Jones movies. While Indiana Jones might be on Disney+ and thought of as a Disney property, the movies were originally distributed by Paramount, so it makes sense that they would also find their way to Paramount+.

October 2

• Lotería Loca (Season 1)
• The Price is Right at Night (2023)

Game shows are the new additions to Paramount+ on October 2. While The Price Is Right At Night has aired on CBS before, and will also be available on Paramount+, Lotería Loca is a brand-new addition to the streamer. Hosted by actor Jaime Camil (Jane The Virgin), the series is inspired by a traditional Mexican board game that is similar to Bingo. The series will air on CBS before streaming on Paramount+.

October 3

• The Young & the Restless (Season 51)

CBS has been the home of the soap opera The Young & The Restless for decades. Now, with content from the network also being available to stream on Paramount+, the most recent season of the soap opera is available on the streamer. The new season of the 50-plus-season soap will start in October, and those new episodes will be available on Paramount+ after they air. As it has for years, the series follows the drama of the Newman and Abbott families, as well as their friends, lovers, and employees.

October 4

• Blaze and the Monster Machines (Season 6)
• Ex on the Beach (Season 6)
• Louis Tomlinson: All of Those Voices (2023)
• Siesta Key (Season 5)

A lot of reality shows get new episodes added to Paramount+ on October 4, but there’s also the animated Blaze and the Monster Machines for the kids, and Louis Tomlinson: All Of Those Voices for those interested in the musician. The former One Direction member had camera crews follow him on his tour, and the documentary combines footage from the tour with behind-the-scenes footage from his time in the entertainment industry.

October 5

• Bargain (2022-2023)
• Monster High 2 (2023)

Two very different things are added to Paramount+ on October 5. One is Bargain, a South Korean drama set in a dystopian future. In the series, a group of characters meeting up to bargain end up trapped together as the result of an Earthquake. The second is a movie made for Nickelodeon. Monster High 2 is a sequel to the first movie for Nickelodeon in which teenagers who happen to be mythical monsters, like werewolves or vampires, go through their own high school drama. Some of that high school drama just happens to involve exposing secrets or saving lives.

October 6

• Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (2023)

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is actually a prequel to the Stephen King story Pet Sematary. It’s set 50 years before the original story in the same small town. Jud Crandall, played by Jackson White in this iteration, is a main character as an older man in the original story. Much younger in this story, his original plan is to get out of the small town, until he finds out some secrets about the local cemetery. Natalie Alyn Lind, Henry Thomas, Pam Grier, and David Duchovny also star.

October 10

• Painkiller: The Tylenol Murders (2023)

When it comes to true crime documentaries on streaming, both Netflix and Peacock have a larger true crime library than Paramount+. Painkiller: The Tylenol Mysteries is a new true crime addition for Paramount+. The five-part series uses archival footage and interviews to examine the case of seven people dying in the Chicago area 40 years ago when Tylenol was laced with cyanide.

October 11

• Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019) (Season 3)
• Inside the Factory (Seasons 3-5)

Two very different shows are added to Paramount+ on October 11. Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid Of The Dark revival series adds its third season to the streamer. The season is short, only four episodes long, with the subtitle “Ghost Island.” One of its stars is Dior Goodjohn, who will also play Clarisse in Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+. Inside The Factory is not a series from Nickelodeon, but one from BBCTwo. The docuseries heads into factories that produce different food staples and has proved to be a popular behind-the-scenes look at the food industry.

October 12

• Frasier (2023)

Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) got his start as a fictional character on Cheers before getting his own sitcom, the self-titled Frasier. The 2023 Frasier is a sequel to that series, bringing Kelsey Grammer back for a new chapter in the life of the character. While a lot of details about the series have been kept quiet, it is known that much of the previous cast will not be involved in the series, but it will return Frasier to Boston where Cheers was set.

October 13

• Raid The Cage (Season 1)

Based on an Israeli game show of the same name, Raid The Cage features Damon Wayans Jr. and Jennie Mae Jenkins as hosts. It also features two teams of two who have the chance to pull as many prizes as they can from the titular cage before time runs out. Correct answers to questions posed to the teams add time to their game clock. Episodes will air on CBS before being added to Paramount+.

October 16

• Vindicta (2023)

Appropriately, Vindicta is a horror thriller for Paramount+ in October. Starring Elena Kampouris, Sean Astin, and Jeremy Piven, the movie is about a serial killer. The official summary reads:

When a city is terrorized by a sadistic serial killer, a seasoned detective and a newly recruited paramedic are forced into a deadly game of vengeance, only to discover the key to stopping the bloodshed lies in unlocking the truth of their own haunted pasts.

Its addition to Paramount+ is Vindicta’s streaming premiere.

October 18

• Teen Mom Family Reunion (Seasons 1-2)
• Teen Mom: Girls Night In (Seasons 1-2)
• Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant (Season 3)
• The Penguins of Madagascar (Season 2)
• Tyler Perry's Young Dylan (Season 3)

While there is a variety of content added to Paramount+ on October 18, the big theme here is the Teen Mom franchise. The franchise began on MTV with Teen Mom before getting sequel series, reunion specials, and spin-offs. Five different seasons from the franchise will be added to Paramount+ here. The streamer already has some existing Teen Mom content as well as a large number of shows that originally aired on MTV, like Teen Wolf.

October 24

• Milli Vanilli (2023)

Paramount+ has a lot of documentaries or docuseries coming to the platform this month, and this look at Milli Vanilli will definitely be one of the most interesting for music fans. Milli Vanilli was one of the most popular musical acts in the early 1990s until scandal changed the trajectory of their careers. The documentary examines the scandal and gives viewers an insider look at everything that happened.

October 25

• Isle of MTV: Malta (2023)

• MTV Cribs (Season 19)
• Reno 911! It's A Wonderful Heist (2022)

The final date for new additions to Paramount+ in October is the 25th. It features reality series like MTV Cribs and Air Disasters as well as a TV movie for the popular comedy series Reno 911!. The library additions for Paramount+ are joined by another surprising add for Paramount+.

Isle Of MTV: Malta is a huge music festival hosted in Malta. It’s been held there since 2007. Paramount+ will bring the 2023 festival to their subscribers. The festival was held in July 2023 and the lineup included artists like Mimi Webb, OneRepublic, Delta Goodrem, and Alesso. Just how much of the festival will appear on Paramount+ isn’t clear, but clips of different performances have been available through MTV since the festival happened.

Throughout the month of October, Paramount+ also offers new content that is only available when subscribing to the Showtime bundle. Of course, if the new movies and TV shows on Paramount+ aren’t enough content for subscribers, Paramount also adds live sporting and news coverage on a regular basis. The content available depends on the playing schedules.
